Welcome to Doremi Music Studio, a vibrant karaoke bar nestled in the heart of Japantown, San Francisco. This is not just any karaoke venue; it’s a place where music comes alive and memories are made, providing an unforgettable experience for both seasoned performers and casual singers alike.

At Doremi, the main draw is your own private booth—ideal for belting out your favorite tunes without the scrutiny of an audience. What sets this place apart is its welcoming policy: you can bring your own food and drinks (BYOB and BYOF), making it perfect for gatherings with friends or even spontaneous late-night singing adventures. Just imagine setting up your pizza and favorite beverages, ready to channel your inner rock star!

With a focus on accessibility, many patrons highlight the extensive and well-curated music selection, especially featuring recent hits in various genres. Customer Kevin Weishuhn shares his enthusiasm, remarking on the “shockingly large amount of recent music” available. Though most interactions and instructions may come in Korean, this adds to the cultural charm and excitement of the Doremi experience—once you dive in, the fun really begins!

Among the reviews, one consistent theme is the affordability—Doremi stands out as a budget-friendly destination, making karaoke accessible for all. Timothy Chau expresses, “Great inexpensive karaoke place,” while noting the sound system and room may be “a bit old,” yet the overall experience and cost-efficiency more than outweigh this minor detail. Additionally, the room acoustics are designed to enhance your vocals, allowing you to shine, whether you're a novice or a pro!

While some customers wish for improved song organization—specifically by artist rather than title—it’s important to remember the communal joy of sifting through song choices together, creating a sense of nostalgia and camaraderie. Danchou-sama reflects this sentiment, appreciating the kind owners alongside the reasonable rates, despite the challenges in finding specific tracks in a darkened room.

For an outing that blends entertainment and togetherness, Doremi Music Studio is unparalleled. From the joy of discovering new favorites to rekindling beloved classics, each visit promises laughter, singing, and cherished memories. So gather your friends, prepare your setlist, and head over for a night where you can truly let your hair down, sing your heart out, and celebrate life—one song at a time!

Don't miss the chance to immerse yourself in the musical magic that is Doremi. Make a reservation today by calling +1 415-771-8884, and prepare for an unforgettable night of fun!

BYOB and have a shockingly large amount of recent music on their lists, if you can brave the lack of instructions and deal with a lot of things in Korean it’s a blast.

They don't serve food or drinks but the main attraction is the private booths anyway. There are a couple main reasons it's four stars and not five stars: First is that there are no song books that list by artist, just by song title. Second is the song selection is fairly limited. Some songs or artists that could (subjectively) be called karaoke classics aren't available and the updated pages at the back of the book only have more recent top forty types. But overall if you don't want to wait for others in a public stage karaoke venue it's a great place.

The owners were kind and the rates were good. There wasnt a big selection of music and the book was physical. The choices were alphabetized by song name. It was hard to find songs in the dark room and half of the time they didn't have what I was looking for. It would have been easier if it was organized by artist instead

Great inexpensive karaoke place in Japantown! They let you bring your own food and drinks which is a nice plus! The sound system and the room itself is a bit old, but the price and being able to BYOB more than make up for it!

Me and a group of friends visiting San Francisco want to karaoke and our local friend suggested this place. We had the option to BYOB and BYOF so that was great especially since we went late. Great music selection and private rooms with great acoustics.

Most San Franciscans live in apartments, and many of us have very little soundproofing from our neighbors. That means it's so great to have these wonderful karaoke rooms so you can belt out whatever tunes you want as loud as you want. There are rooms in different sizes, whether it's just you solo or a large group of friends. Perfect for parties!
